What kind of information can be found on Turku for All –site?


On the site we have gathered accessibility information about the public and private services in Turku. We are bringing every building's accessibility information both with symbols and more detailed text.


The site has been divided into ten different subject groups found on the main page. Under the main subject titles more detailed secondary titles are found, under which all ready surveys of buildings is listed. On this page you will also see the symbols a building gas been given. When you click any of the building names, you will get to the page with the building's detailed information.


Every mapped facility has its own page, where the accessibility information is presented with both symbols and more detailed text. the building's or shop's name in the blue box works as link to their own web site if applicable, if you click on the address, the building's position will be pointed out on a map.


Searching possibilities


You can search our site for information on many different ways:


  1. Searching for a facility using the subject titles


We have divided the buildings or shops after the main subject titles: Public services, Associations, Education, Culture, Transportation, Accomodation, Shopping, Restaurants, Health care, Leisure.


The main subject titles is divided into secondary subject titles, for example under the Culture subjevt title you will find the following secondary subject titles: Art galleries, Congress facilities, Consert halls, Museums, Theaters.


  1. Searching by using olika underrubriker


The main subject titles is divided into secondary subject titles, for example under the Culture subjevt title you will find the following secondary subject titles: Art galleries, Congress facilities, Consert halls, Museums, Theaters.


By clicking any of the secondary subject titles you will get to a page with facilities listed of the chosen kind, for example under the main subject title Museums you will find different kinds of museums in Turku.


  1. Searching by using the alphabetically ordered list


On the main page is a link ”All services alphabetically”. When following this link all mapped facilities is listed alphabetically. Click on a letter of choice and you are directed direct to facilities beginning with that letter.


Observe that only 10 facilities is listed per side. Next possible 10 facilities is listed when clicking the ”Next page” link on the page's bottom edge.


  1. Searching for the facility's name


On the top of the blue side bar is a search text box. you can choose between to search for the name or address.


When you are searching on the name, write the whole name or just a part of the name in the box. The search engine searches for all facilities with names that consists the text in the box.


Observe that when you searches on the facility's name, you have to ensure that you have a light blue ball in the ring before the word ”Facility” . You get it by clicking on the ring.


  1. Searching for the facility's address


On the top of the blue side bar is a search text box. you can choose between to search for the name or address.


When you are searching for the address, write the street address or zip code in the box. The search engine searches for all facilities with addresses that consists the text in the box.


Observe that when you searches on the facility's address, you have to ensure that you have a light blue ball in the ring before the word ”Address” . You get it by clicking on the ring.


  1. Searching by selecting desired symbols for a facility


In the blue side bar is also a link ”Search with symbols”. By clicking this link you will get to a page with the symbols lined up under each other with a check box in front of them. You can choose as many symbols as you like by checking the boxes of your choice and then click the Find button.


When you are searching for two or more symbols you have a choice of combining them in two different ways:

a) Searching for facilities using and-search


For example: you search for facilities that have the symbols Fully accessible and Spacious lift.


first click the ring in front of the word Och, and you get a light blue ball in the ring.


Check the symbols of your choice (for example Fully accessible and Spacious lift) and click the Find button. As result you will get a list of facilities that all have every selected symbol.


If the search engine does not find any results with the chosen symbols, you will get the message:


”No matches found for the selected symbols”


You can reset the form using any of the Reset buttons.




b) Searching for facilities using or-search


For example: you search for facilities with Good or Satisfactory WC for wheelchair users.


First click the ring in front of the word Or, and you get a light blue ball in the ring.


Check the symbols of your choice (for example Good WC for wheelchair users and Satisfactory WC for wheelchair users) and click the Find button. As result you get a list of facilities that have at least one of the selected symbols.


If the search engine does not find any results with the chosen symbols, you will get the message:


”No matches found for the selected symbols”


You can reset the form using any of the Reset buttons.
